Oriol Domenech

Graduate in Veterinary Medicine (1996) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain.

From 1996 to 1997 he worked as a general veterinarian at the veterinary clinic Mediterrani Veterinaris in Reus (Tarragona, Spain). From 1997 to 1999 he attended the three years of veterinary cardiology of the ESAVS (European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies). From 1998 to 2000 he worked as the Director of the Cardiology Department at the SURVET centre (Veterinary Reference and Emergency Service) in Barcelona, Spain. From 2000 to 2001 he conducted his internship period with Dr. Claudio Bussadori, ECVIM Dipl.-CA (Cardiology) at the Clinica Veterinaria Gran Sasso in Milan, Italy. From 2001 to 2004 he completed the ECVIM-CA Residents' programme for the speciality of Cardiology, obtaining the ECVIM-CA Diploma for the sub-speciality of cardiology in 2006. He is currently preparing to obtain the European PhD title. He has written various articles and studies either published in magazines or presented at national and international congresses. He has been a guest speaker at many congresses and courses, both national and international. He obtained the 2009 Luera Award in Spain. He is currently working at the Clinica Veterinaria Gran Sasso in Milan, Italy, attending to referred cases of internal medicine and cardiology, and at SURVET, CARVET in Barcelona, Spain, attending to referred cases of cardiology.
